I grew up in the UK’s early 90s rave scene, a vinyl DJ shaped by pirate radio, warehouse parties and fields lit up by strobes. Back then it was all about energy, community and the music, and I found my sound by mixing hardcore, house and techno together in a way that felt natural and alive.
With a crate of 12-inches and a love for tight mixing, my sets were always about rhythm and flow. No tricks, no fuss, just vinyl and a drive to keep the momentum going.
Whether it was big piano tunes, heavy 4/4 kicks or dark rolling breakbeats, I played what felt right and tried to capture that raw mix of chaos and euphoria that defined the era. I’ve always had a lot of respect for the culture and the people in it, so I stuck with vinyl even when most moved to digital.
I’m still at it today, still digging for tunes, still playing records and still holding onto that original 90s rave spirit that started it all.
